STEP 1: Refresh your memory about the color wheel. There are 12 colors: Red, Red-orange, Orange, Yellow-orange, Yellow, Yellow-green, Green, Blue-green, Blue, Blue-violet, Violet, and Red-violet. I have included a photo of the color wheel we use in class as a reference for you.
STEP 2: Go around your house and collect objects of all different colors. You should aim to find AT LEAST 2 to 3 objects for each color. Your project should have NO LESS than 30 objects. Good sources: Art supplies, toys, clothing, food, nature, bathroom, kitchen , closet... See examples for ideas.
STEP 3: Find a "blank," NEUTRAL (white, brown, grey, black) space in or out of your house on which to arrange all the objects. Floors, tables, patios, decks, etc. all work well. TIP: Make sure it is in a well lit area. Use your knowledge of birds-eye view photography next to a window for this one. Use the color wheel to guide you in placing each object in color order.
STEP 4: Take an OVERHEAD picture of your Found Object Color Wheel and upload it to google classroom under the corresponding assignment. (Make sure you have good lighting and aren't casting a shadow over your work.)
